Yah Songs

As a young believer, I wrote this song not long after I met Yeshua, my Messiah. (I called Him Jesus back then.) My personal healing was quite a long journey, but one for which I am grateful. There is no greater love than Yeshua’s love for you and for me. There is no greater hope. No greater joy. Yeshua is the true source of healing for all who will choose to place their trust in Him.

“The Spirit of יהוה [Yehovah] is upon Me [Yeshua],
because He has anointed Me to bring the Good News to the poor.
He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted,
to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,
to send away crushed ones with a release, to proclaim the acceptable year of יהוה [Yehovah].”
~ Luke 4:18-19 ~

A favorite, soulful expression of faith in the name of Messiah Yeshua. The name of Yeshua is not a mere description of aspects of who He is, His name IS the very existence of salvation, deliverance, prosperity and health. There is no other NAME like Yeshua.

YESHUA is The Most Beautiful Name.

It is time to rejoice and declare that Yehovah is the King of kings!

I charge you in the presence of God [Elohim], who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus [Messiah Yeshua], who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ [Master Yeshua Messiah], which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.” ~ 1 Timothy 6:13-16 ESV

Yah’s discipline in my life, this time, came in the form of affliction. As difficult as this was, my brokenness caused me to cry out to Him in my distress. It was Yah who gave me this ‘song in the night’. How is it that Yah can turn a song birthed in the midst of sorrow and brokenness into an expression of joy and expectation?

Yah does this for those who will place their trust in Him. For although Yah is a just Elohim, He is also always good, righteous and full of truth. In Him there is no shadow of turning. The expression of this song began as a dirge. I hope that you enjoy the transformation into a song of delight and rejoicing! Praise Yah!

This version is a remix of the traditional hymn composed by Philip Bliss in 1878 and written as a poem by Horatio Spafford. In the years prior to Horatio’s death he suffered devastating loss, but wrote this poem as a testimony of Yah’s goodness and faithfulness through it all. I have rewritten some of the words and embellished the melody to suit my personal style and creativity. I hope this stirs your soul today, as it does mine, to reach out believing in the good news of Yeshua’s overcoming all on our behalf that we would live this life knowing His shalom (peace).
